Objective

The foundation's objective is to promote social cohesion and a sustainable economy. The foundation tries to achieve this goal through a community of people in the Netherlands who share food with each other. Via the online home cooking platform, we stimulate meetings between neighbors, enable access to healthy food and prevent food waste.

Policy Plan

The policy of the Thuisgekookt Foundation is aimed at achieving its objective. In particular by developing, managing and supporting the platform and manually making matches between (vulnerable) local residents. The revenues are spent on: development and maintenance of the online platform, community support, matching vulnerable neighbors to home cooks, organizing food events, entering into partnerships with local social organizations, supporting caterers, providing media and communication. The Thuisgekookt Foundation has no profit motive. The credit balance after settlement must be spent in accordance with the objective. Board members do not receive compensation. The administration is conducted by Annemarieke Blom.
